The Oklahoma State Spirit Rider has been part of Cowboy tradition since 1984. Astride an intimidating black quarter horse, Bullet, the Spirit Rider makes appearances at various sporting or special events as a symbol of the university and of Cowboy spirit. The pair get a raucous welcome at every football home game, as the stadium announcer declares, “Here! Comes! Bullet!” when Bullet and the Spirit Rider gallop in.
