This book is the direct result of Lois Morrison’s workshop of April 4 and 5, 2009. Suffering from left brain overload, I hadn’t had a workable idea for a new book for over six months. The block was released in the workshop. I pulled out fabric rescued from our house fire in March 2003 to serve as the primary illustrative narrative and branched out from there. A Stitch in Time is autobiographical and references my early years of training in the domestic arts when I sewed all my clothes and made quilts. [A second book is in progress, examining my fashion sense over the years with an emphasis on my internship with Mademoiselle magazine.] The title and colophon pages are my first cross stitch work since 1966.
